Betty A. Drumheller

Betty A. Drumheller, 87, died March 27, 2013 in her Laureldale Borough residence.

She was the wife of Allen W. Drumheller who died October 11, 2006.

Born December 4, 1925 in Boyertown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey G. and Beulah (Barto) Hartenstine.

Betty was a 1943 graduate of Boyertown High School.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Betty was employed as a custodian with Wilson School District for 6 1/2 years, retiring in 1987. Prior to that she was also employed as a hopper tender with Bachman's Pretzel Bakery for 20 years.

Surviving are her three children: Michael H. Drumheller, husband of Beckie Bentz of Hyde Park; Jane C., wife of LeRoy Hurley of Leesport and David A. Drumheller of Laureldale.

Also surviving are four grandchildren: Dion DeSantis, Troy, husband of Tara Drumheller, Jason, husband of Missy Heffner and Shaun Heffner and two great grandchildren, Nicholas DeSantis and AJ DeSantis.

In addition, she is survived by her brother, Gerald Hartenstine of Elizabethtown and her sister, Helen Kurtz of Pottstown.

Betty was predeceased by five siblings: Robert, Linwood, Charles and Roger Hartenstine and Evelyn Freed.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laueldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
