Bette J. Heiser

Bette J. Heiser, 80, West Reading, died Sept. 6 in Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where she had resided since July 5, 2002. She was the wife of Richard F. Heiser.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ross J. and Dorothy M. (Burkholder) Winters.

Heiser was employed for 25 years as a clerk by C.K. Whitner's Co. Inc., Reading, retiring in 1974.

She was a 1945 graduate of West Reading High School.

She is also survived by a daughter, Sandra S., wife of Greg Braley, West Reading.

Other survivors include three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton, with the Rev. Russell Weidel officiating. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601.
