Beth B. Hermann

Beth B. Hermann, 80, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, in the care of the Residence at Village Greens. She was the widow of Rodney D. Hermann, who passed away on November 15, 2023.

Born in Reading to the late William Behney and Ruth (Harris) Behney-Lombardo, who following William's death, remarried to Joseph Lombardo, a loving step-father to Beth. She graduated from Reading High School in 1964 and went on to receive her Bachelor's of Science in Education from the Kutztown State Teacher's College in 1968.

Mrs. Hermann's first year of teaching was at Wyomissing; the rest of her long career was spent at Twelfth & Marion Elementary in Reading. She was a beloved teacher, as the countless now-adult students who would excitedly stop her at the mall or when out and about would testify. She was even nominated for the Pennsylvania State Teacher of the Year.

Beth was a life-long member of Bethany Lutheran Church of West Reading.

She will be remembered as kind, generous, and selfless. Her family was her number-one priority, and she deeply loved her husband and son. She adored being a grandmother. Beth was fond of jewelry and coordinating outfits, and she loved interior decorating. Like her husband, she was a passionate Phillies and Eagles Fan.

Beth is survived by her son, Chad Hermann, husband of Wendy, of Pittsburgh, and her grandchildren, Adam Hermann, husband of Stephanie Hatala, and Ethan Hermann, companion of Hannah Yeakey, all of Philadelphia.

Contributions in Beth's memory may be offered to Make-A-Wish Foundation, https://wish.org/.

Services for Beth will be private at her family's convenience. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
