Bertha M. Stewart, 100, formerly of Perry Township, passed away, Saturday, December 26, 2020, in Berks Heim.

She was the beloved wife of Charles Thomas Samuel Stewart, who died August 5, 1983.

Born in Blandon, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Bertha M. (Keim) Benjamin.

Bertha was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Township.

She was employed as a sewing machine operator for most of her life at the Globe Underwear Mill.

Bertha is survived by one daughter; Doris F., wife of Stephen Leibensperger, Shoemakersville, and one son; Edwin L., husband of the late Simone Stewart, Muhlenberg Township. Twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren, one sister, Freida M. Fox, Hamburg; and one brother, George Benjamin, Bechtelsville, also survive her.

In addition to her husband, Bertha was predeceased by a daughter; Bertha M. Adam, and two sons, Walter D. Stewart, and Robert C. Stewart, and a grandson, Jeffrey Leibensperger.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Hamburg, are in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
