Bertha H. Weiler

Bertha H. Weiler, 81, of North Sixth Avenue, West Reading, died Jan. 29 at 7:50 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient one day.

Her husband, James E. Weiler, died Nov. 22, 1998.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William and Susan (Deeds) Rightmyer.

Weiler was employed as a ward clerk by Reading Hospital from 1966 until her retirement in 1980.

She was a 1940 graduate of Robesonia High School.

Weiler was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.

Surviving is a daughter, Becky (Weiler) Nye, Cumru Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Russell Rightmyer, Kutztown; and a half sister, Joan (Benfield) Futejs, West Lawn.

There is also a grandson.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie A. (Weiler) Hoffman, in 1986.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
