Bert A. Mileski

Bert A. Mileski, 77, passed away July 16, 2014 in his Bern Township home.

He was the husband of Maureen A. (Kelly) Mileski.

Born December 27, 1936 in Norwich, CT he was a son of the late James and Mable (Conklin) Mileski.

Bert was employed by Sam Caltagirone in the 1960's and then became a sales representative for Modern Handling Equipment Company, retiring, after 35 years ,in 1999 as a sales manager.

He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran.

Bert's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid water skier and loved the sport. Bert was involved as a charter member and past president of the Reading Water Skiers. He was a sr. judge and chief announcer for the National Water Ski Championships. He was also the chief announcer for the World Water Ski Championships in West Palm Beach, FL. After retirement he also enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children: Gregory A., husband of Dawn M. Sarig, Wyomissing; Vicki A., wife of Richard McCormick, Sinking Spring; and Steven Mileski Orlando, FL. Also surviving are his siblings: James Mileski, Norwich, CT; and Merle Ellis, Gilbert, AZ; and four grandchildren: Zachary, Alexa, Jack, and Katie.

Bert was predeceased by his son, Scott Mileski, and his sisters: Joan and Celia.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Services and burial will be private.
