Bernice B. Rissmiller

Bernice B. "Bonnie" Rissmiller, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Robert D. Rissmiller, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Born in Windsor Township, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Grace (Hartman) Bowers. Bonnie was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother to her four children. She also served the community of the First United Church of Christ in Hamburg by teaching Sunday school for many years, and she took joy in volunteering her time to make events like their Mother/Daughter banquets special.

Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert; sons: Ty Rissmiller, husband of Cynthia (Noll) of Fleetwood, Dean Rissmiller of Hamburg, and Darrin Rissmiller of Allentown; daughter, Jill (Rissmiller) Collins, wife of William, of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren: Demi McMullen, Jacob Rissmiller, Seth Rissmiller, Erin Collins, Bridget Collins, Charli Rissmiller, and Nora Collins; and brother, Dennis Bowers of Hamburg.

She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley (Bowers) Adams and Myrna (Bowers) Arsenault; and daughter-in-law, Lananh Rissmiller, wife of Darrin.

Services for Bonnie will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at the First United Church of Christ, 76 S. Third St., Hamburg, PA 19526. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Frieden's Cemetery, Lenhartsville.
