Bernice M. Weinman

Bernice M. (Blessing) Weinman, 82, of South Heidelberg Township, died March 13, 2012, in Golden Living Center.

She was the wife of Russell R. Weinman.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Staudinger) Blessing.

She was a 1949 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Bernice was employed as a packer by Alcon Pharmaceutical Company, Sinking Spring, retiring in 1992.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children: Christopher, widower of Donna Weinman, Pricetown, MaryAnne, wife of Patrick Grossi, Exeter Township, Michele, wife of Elton Schlegel, Mertztown, Nancy, wife of Robert Detweiler, Ephrata, Theresa Britt, Robesonia and Heather Rehn, Sinking Spring.

She is also survived by two brothers, Arthur, husband of Susie Blessing, Shillington and Gerald, husband of Nancy Blessing, Chepachet, RI; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Bernice was predeceased by her brother, Carl, widower of Dorothy Blessing.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be Private. Friends may call Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
