Bernardo Beltran Del Rio Salcido

Bernardo Beltran del Rio Salcido, 78, passed away March 9, 2013 in his Reading residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Esperanza Beltran del Rio Ortega Nuñez.

Born in Rancho La Laguna in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was a son of the late Fabian Beltran del Rio and Maria Salcido de Beltran del Rio.

He worked for Giorgi Mushrooms.

Bernardo belonged to the Asociación Agricola de Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico.

He was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, Reading.

Bernardo was an avid baseball lover, especially of the Phillies. He was very generous and sociable; always happy and planting seeds of friendship that grew into life long friendships and was always willing to help anyone in need. He also loved to sing beautiful ballads. He will be dearly missed.

Beltran del Rio Cerros, Temple; Maria Isabel Beltran del Rio, wife of Roberto Fernandez Valencia, Reading; Martha Elbia Beltran del Rio, wife of Gustavo Fernandez Valencia, Mexico; Jesus Manuel Beltran del Rio, husband of Socorro Beltran del Rio Aguilar, Temple; Carlos Bernardo Beltran del Rio, husband of Delia Beltran del Rio Cerros, Laureldale; Elia Beltran del Rio, wife of Jose Lopez, Reading; Sergio Beltran del Rio, husband of Beatriz Beltran del Rio Vazquez, Mexico; Elizabeth Beltran del Rio, wife of Jason L. Readinger, Sinking Spring; Adolfo Beltran del Rio, husband of Marianette Beltran del Rio Ramon, Reading; Laura Veronica Beltran del Rio, wife of Troy Groff, Mohnton; Julio Cesar Beltran del Rio, husband of Maria de Lourdes Lopez, Mexico; Silvia Griselda Beltran del Rio, wife of Raul Cosme, Delaware; Diana Ivette Beltran del Rio, wife of Jose Luis Tinoco, Mohnton; Sarahi Beltran del Rio, Reading; Elsa Rosalia Beltran del Rio Salcido, wife of Camilo Saenz, Texas. Also surviving is his daughter-in-law, Martha Beltran del Rio Aguilar, Laureldale. 6 siblings, 38 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren also survive him.

Bernardo was predeceased by three children: Fabian Beltran del Rio, Bernardo Beltran del Rio and Martha E. Beltran del Rio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 322 S. 5th St., Reading. A viewing will be Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in Walter R.
