Bernard J. Elzer, Jr., 70, died March 28, 2013, in his North Heidelberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Lori L. (Evans) Elzer.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Bernard J., Sr., and Mary C. (O'Reilly) Elzer.

He was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1960 and Wyomissing Polytechnical Institute in 1962.

Bernard was owner and operator of Grafika Commercial Printing for 20 years, retiring in 2010.

He was a member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Wernersville.

Bernard was on the board of directors at Easter Seals.

His first dedication in life was to his family. He loved the outdoors and in addition to spending time on his property he enjoyed sport fishing in Costa Rica, big game hunting across North America and boating on the Finger Lakes.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Bernard J., III., husband of Athena Elzer, Wyomissing, Robert H. Elzer, Manheim Township, Sean P. Elzer, Wyomissing and Kristen L., wife of Dr. Matthew Bryant, Ithaca, N.Y. and three grandchildren, Nathan Elzer, Jocelyn Elzer and Nicholas Elzer.

Bernard was predeceased by his sister, Bridget Shiery.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in St. John's (Hain's) U.C. Church, Wernersville. Burial will be in adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church.
