Bernard J. Green

Bernard J. Green, Jr., 81, died May 9, 2013, in his Spring Township residence. He was also a resident of Englewood, FL.

He was the husband of Ruie M. (Myers) Green.

Born in West Reading he was the son of the late Bernard J., Sr. and Esther (Bredbenner) Green.

He was a 1949 graduate of West Reading High School. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Central Catholic High School. Bernard graduated from Albright College with a B.S. degree in accounting.

Bernard was a U.S. Korean War veteran and also served as a Master Sergeant in the Army reserves.

He was a National/International Credit Manager for Caloric/Raytheon Corporation, Topton, retiring in 1984 and was employed as a Finance Director for Meridian Bank, retiring in 1994.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Michael D. Green, Land O' Lakes, FL, Elizabeth R. Ross, Spring Township and Linda Linette Eways, Womelsdorf and two grandchildren, Brandon R. Ross, Ft. Worth, TX and Blaze C. Linette, Virginia Beach, VA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
