Bernard James Bohanak

Bernard James Bohanak, 80, of Fleetwood, died July 2, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Doris Elaine (Artz) Bohanak, whom he married September 5, 1959.

Born November 15, 1932 in Reading, he was a son of the late William James and Elizabeth (Krempasanka) Bohanak.

Bernard was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School. He attended Pratt Institute, New York, NY.

He was employed with Maier's Bakery for 35 years, retiring in 1997.

Bernard was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his two children: Randy J., husband of Rosalinda C. (Cervantes) Bohanak of Hoboken, NJ and Shelley L., wife of Jeffrey T. DePinto of Perkasie, Bucks County. Bernie was also expecting a grandson.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
