Benjamin J. Zintak, Jr., 94, of Wyomissing passed away on October 1, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Ellen L. (Smith) McMullen Zintak.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Benjamin J. Sr., and Martha H. (Herstowski) Zintak.
Benjamin was a 1939 graduate of Campion Jesuit High School, Wisconsin, a 1943 graduate of Georgetown University and 1946 graduate of MIT.
He was employed by Caron International as a Vice-President until retiring in 1986. After retirement Benjamin was co-founder and president of Acutech Plastic, Bern Township.
Benjamin served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He was an active member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Benjamin was a former Chairman of the Board and member of St. Joseph Hospital Board of Trustees.
Addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Benjamin J., III, husband of Pricilla M. Zintak, Wyomissing; John E., husband of Nancy R. Zintak, Atlanta; daughters, Jane Zintak, Mohnton; Joan Zintak, Issaquah, Washington; Marietta Zintak, Seattle; Barbara (Zintak) Vespico Albert, wife of Joseph Albert, Reading; stepsons, Stephen R. McMullen, Oley; David M., husband of Bridget L. McMullen, Wernersville; and stepdaughter, Julie L. (McMullen), wife of Alan M. Cohen, Mt. Kisco, NY. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Benjamin was predeceased by first wife Joan (Caron) Zintak, sister, Eleanor V. Murawski, and brother, Edward J. Zintak.
There will be a private viewing for immediate family only. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 12 p.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola R. C. Church, Whitfield. Entombment will private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St Ignatius of Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Reading, PA 19608. Edward J.
