Benjamin H. O'Neill

Benjamin H. O'Neill, 84, died January 26, 2015 in Berks Heim.

He was the widower of Joan L. (Heins) O'Neill.

Born in West Lawn, he was the son of the late Elmer and Hanna (White) O'Neill.

Benjamin graduated West Reading High School in 1949 as the Senior class president. He excelled in swimming and football and was selected for the All Conference Football Team in 1948.

Benjamin proudly served four years in the Navy aboard the Carrier USS Coral Sea.

Benjamin worked for many years for Morgan Corporation, retiring in 2000.

He is survived by five children, Michael A., Brian S., life partner to Kim A. Smith, Timothy M., Jeffrey T., husband of Gretchen A. O'Neill and Amy L. O'Neill; his sister, Loretta Arnold; two grandchildren, Kelly L. O'Neill and Michael R. Swavely and three great-grandchildren, Alivia J., Nelson B. and Tylor L. Stubbs.

Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
