Benjamin Alan Hattendorf, 42, passed away in Philadelphia on April 17, 2015.

He was the loving husband of Stacey L. (Hill) Hattendorf.

Born in Arlington Heights, IL he was the son of Alan K. and Carol J.(Moehling) Hattendorf.

Benjamin received a bachelor's degree from Penn State University.

He was employed by the Philadelphia Carpenters Union Local 1595.

Benjamin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed taking his kids fishing and to their wrestling and soccer sporting events. He also enjoyed planting his own garden. Benjamin was a consistory member at St. John's Reformed Church of Sinking Spring.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Connor B., Christian A., and Aiden N., his two sisters, Rhonda Hattendorf, Flying Hills, and Rachel, wife of Ted Mountz, Bern Township, a brother Joseph, husband of Holly Hattendorf, Katonah, NY. Also surviving are four nieces, four nephews, and many cousins.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Johns Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A viewing will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 pm. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, 19611. Friends may also call Thursday from 10 a.m to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Benjamin's memory to Diamond Credit Union, Hattendorf Scholarship Fund's for his three sons at 1(800)593-1000.
