Benjamin F. Ebling, Jr., 91, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, in his Lower Alsace Township residence.
He was the husband of Marlene E. (Gebhart) Ebling.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Benjamin F., Sr., and Stella (Moyer) Ebling.
Benjamin served the United States Navy with great pride and bravery, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to our nation.
After dedicating an impressive 41 years to Birdsboro Steel, he served as a skilled machinist until his well-deserved retirement in 1988.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Curtis A., husband of Elizabeth Ebling, Ben E., husband of Candace Ebling, and Diane M. (Ebling) Rider; three step-children, David, husband of Sandra Styer, Steven, husband of Kim Styer, and Brenda, wife of Blake Miller. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Ebling; and two step-siblings, John "Jack" Ebling and Louise (Ebling), wife of William Travelino; his daughter-in-law, Debra Ebling; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved cats, Zoro, Dottie, and Annie.
Benjamin was predeceased by his son, Thomas Ebling in 2001.
A viewing will be Friday, September 29, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with Entombment to follow at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
