Barry M. Sweitzer

Barry Michael Sweitzer, Sr., 62, of Ontelaunee Township, died of natural causes November 14th in St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading.

He was the husband of Judith Anne (Nally) Sweitzer.

Born in Oley, he was a son of the late Luther M. and Susan (Brown) Sweitzer.

He was a 1962 graduate of Oley High School.

Sweitzer was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

He was employed 22 years as a cold roll mill operator at NGK Metals, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1998.

Sweitzer is also survived by two sons, Craig M. Sr., of Alsace Township and Barry M. Jr., at home.

Other survivors include four brothers, Leon of Temple, Jacob of Reading, Donald of Fredericks, MD and John of Douglassville and four sisters, Laura (Sweitzer) Gagliardo of Reading, Ruth (Sweitzer) Degler of Oley, Janet (Sweitzer) Fick of Temple and Yvonne (Sweitzer) Kapelski of Alsace Township.

There are two grandchildren and one great grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Viewings will be Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale and Thursday 9:30 am until time of Mass in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
