Barry Emerson Sturges

Barry Emerson Sturges, "The Tattoo Guy", 58, of Bernville, died July 6, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Susan Daquisto-Sturges.

Born in Waterbury, CT, he was a son of Thomas Sturges Sr., husband of Joan Sturges, Ft. Pierce, FL, and the late Virginia (Krom) Sturges.

Barry was a graduate of Nonnewaug High School. He earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Alveria University.

He was employed with Adapt, Inc. as a Clinical Supervisor.

He was a member of Park Crest Fish and Game Club. Barry's artwork lives on in many people. He is survived by his friend, Bill W.

Barry is also survived by his three loving daughters: Brya Sturges, Philadelphia; Libby Sturges, Kutztown and Callie Sturges, Kutztown; and two brothers: Thomas Sturges, Jr., New Britain, CT and Jeffrey Sturges, Seattle WA. His grateful four-legged friends also survive him.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Easy Does It, Inc.: 1300 Hilltop Rd., Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either: Hawk Mountain Sanctuary: 410 Summer Valley Rd., Orwigsburg, PA 17961 or Animal Rescue League: P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540. Edward J.
