Barry Paul Shultz

Barry Paul Shultz, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in his Shillington residence.

He was the loving husband of Linda M. (Guiles) Shultz; they were married for over 51 years.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Robert and Fern (Steffe) Shultz.

Barry graduated from Reading High School in 1960.

He was the head custodian at Northwest Middle School for over 30 years retiring in 2002.

Barry was the head girls basketball at Northwest Middle School, Twin Valley High School, and Antietam High School. He served as an assistant coach for Reading High, Governor Mifflin and Kutztown High Schools. He also coached volleyball for a number of years at Northwest. Barry loved the Jersey Shore, especially Cape May and Wildwood.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Lori Shultz, at home and Stacey Dreibelbis, Reading as well as one granddaughter, Kelsey Dreibelbis.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue West Reading.
