Barry E. Neiswender

Barry E. Neiswender, 88, formerly of Wernersville, passed away on December 5, 2024, at Stoneridge Village. He was the husband of Marilee A. (McCloskey) Neiswender.

Born in Strausstown, he was the son of the late Dewey and Rhea (Kauffman) Neiswender. Barry graduated from Wilson High School in 1953. He served his country in the Air National Guard and was employed at Berkshire Knitting Mills, General Battery, and East Penn Manufacturing retiring in 1997.

Barry was a member of Glad Tidings Church where he taught Sunday school for many years and formerly served on the board. He enjoyed hunting and Lionel trains.

Barry is survived by his wife, Marilee, their three children: Rebecca A. "Becky" Walters (Mark) of West Lawn; David B. Neiswender (Ronda) of Wernersville, and John L. Neiswender (Renee) of Sinking Spring, as well as five grandchildren: Zachary Jenks, Leah, Jacob, Abby, and Nate Neiswender.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading with interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens to follow.
