Barry L. Young

Barry L. Young, 63, of Wernersville, passed away on August 13th at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.

He was the husband of Mary L. (Alderman) Young. They were married on August 31, 1963.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Marie E. (Heck) Young, Sr.

Barry was a graduate of the West Reading High School in 1961.

He was a buyer for Bob White Quality Foods for 28 years until his retirement in 1996.

He was a navy Veteran.

Barry was the financial secretary and trustee for West Reading Volunteer Fireman's Beneficial Association.

He was a longtime Philadelphia Phillies and 76ers fan.

Barry is survived by two sons, James B. of Wernersville, and Gary C. of Reading.

He is also survived by his brother, Charles G. of Reading.

There is also one granddaughter, Alexis Young.

Services will be on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
