Barry Kauffman

Barry R. Kauffman, 82, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Complete Care Berkshire in Reading. He was the husband of Frances J. (Marino) Kauffman. They married on May 18, 1968.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Alton and Dorothy (Smith) Kauffman. Barry graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1962. He was employed as an annealer at Carpenter Technologies for 34 years before retiring in 2002

Barry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying target shooting, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a lover of all things baseball and was a diehard Philadelphia Phillies Fan. He was an accomplished carpenter and skilled woodworker. He also loved animals, oldies music, reading, classic cars and hot rods. He was a frequent visitor of the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, where he will be missed.

Barry is survived by his wife, Frances, daughter, Danielle Denis, wife of Charles of Bernville, sister, Joyce O'Brien of St. Lawrence, brother, Rodney Kauffman, and two step-grandchildren, James Denis, husband of Brianna and Jennifer Trimble, wife of Justin. Barry also had four step-great grandchildren, Abigail Trimble, Alex Trimble, Paisley Denis, and Waylon Denis. Barry had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Shirley Keffer, survived by her husband Rodney, David Kauffman and his wife Beverly, and Janet Ramsey and her husband David.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
