Born in Reading, PA on January 14, 1946, he was a son of the late June E. (Dieter) Gehring.

He is survived by an aunt, Jean L. Hafer of Ruscombmanor Township.

Services were private. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
