Barry L. Butzer

Barry L. Butzer, Sr., 73, of Spring Township, passed away March 31, 2014 in Spruce Manor.

He was the husband of Mary P. (Kantner) Butzer, whom he married almost 25 years ago on May 20, 1989.

Born January 9, 1941, in Reading, he was a son of Margaret F. (Goheen) Butzer, Bern Township, and the late Joseph E. Butzer.

Barry was a brass polisher, working for Central Brass, Reading; and then Bob's Metal Refinishing, Muhlenburg Township.

He is survived by his three children: Christine C., wife of Michael Hart, West Reading; Barry L. Butzer, Jr., Reading; and Martin R., husband of Linda Butzer, Honalulu, HI. Also surviving are his brother, Joseph W., husband of Helen Butzer, Mt. Penn; his 9 grandchildren; and his 13 great-grandchildren.

Barry was predeceased by his brother, Bradley Butzer.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The family would like everyone to please dress casual for the services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
