Barbara Louise Trostler

Barbara Lou (Klopp) Trostler, 83, of Philadelphia, passed away June 5, 2014 in St. Monica Manor, Philadelphia.

Her husband, Arthur M. Trostler, died April 9, 1988.

Born December 17, 1930 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Kathryn M. (Leinbach) Klopp.

She was a graduate of Reading High School. She earned her BA in English from Penn State University and was Miss Penn State, 1951.

Barbara worked as a talent coordinator for NBC, Today Show, and then became an investment broker, working for the Trust Company of the West.

She was a member of St. Mark's U.C.C., Reading.

Barbara loved the theater. She enjoyed participating in plays as well as watching them. She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and cross country skiing at her home away from home in Vermont. Her daughter and grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Kate, wife of Craig A. LaBan, Philadelphia. Also surviving are her two grandchildren: Alice Rose and Arthur Maxwell; and her loving cousins.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
