Barbara A. Medaglia

Barbara A. Medaglia, 84, passed away on September 3, 2025, at her Birdsboro home. She was the widow John J. Medaglia, Jr. They shared 52 years together.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Anna (Spolski) Michalski. Barbara graduated from Reading High School in 1959 and then from Empire Beauty School and Muhlenberg Vo Tech's Nursing program as an LPN. She was employed as a nurse at Berks Heim for 20 years.

Barbara was a devoted caregiver for both her parents and husband. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Joseph J. Medaglia, companion of Tina Miller, of Sinking Spring and John J. Medaglia, III, husband of Maria of Birdsboro, stepdaughter, Debbie Assad, wife of Ody Dickey III of Navarre, FL, eight grandchildren: Devon, Michaela, Brittin, Kelsey, Hilary, Delaney, Malory, and Stefan as well as eight great-grandchildren and another on the way.

The funeral service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery's Chapel of Resurrection, Reading.
