Barbara Mae Guers

Barbara Mae (Brommer) Guers, 95, formerly of Auburn, Hamburg, York, and West Lawn, passed away on November 2, 2026, at Columbia Cottage.

Her Husband, Paul F. Guers, died on January 18, 2019. They were married for 69 years.

Born in Auburn, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Clara M. (Dreisbach) Brommer.

She was a 1949 graduate of Auburn High School.

Barbara was employed as a sewing machine operator.

Family and faith were important to Barbara, she was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Auburn; and Eastern Star, Orwigsburg.

She loved baking for her family and friends, finding joy in creating delicious treats for them. In addition to her culinary skills, she also enjoyed crocheting, crafting beautiful pieces that brought warmth and comfort to those around her.

Barbara is survived by two children, John, husband of Karen Guers, Wyomissing, and Susan, wife of Jack Burwick, Ocean Isle Beach, NC; one brother, Aaron Brommer; two sisters, Elaine Kilmer, and Frances Wink; five grandchildren: Michael, husband of Jacquline Guers, Monrovia, MD, Valerie, wife of Patrick O’Leary, Sinking Spring, Jeffrey, husband of Caitlyn Guers, Sinking Spring, Jason Burwick, York, and Stacey, wife of Gus Vann, Mechanicsville, VA. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Anika O’Leary, Mark Guers, Alexa O’Leary, Heidi Guers, and Jonathan Guers.

She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Hoy.

Services will be Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial to follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
