Barbara A. Logero

Barbara Ann Logero, age 82, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully at her home on January 16, 2024.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late C. Malcolm Smith Jr. and Mary B. Smith. Barbara was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Reading, PA and Pennsylvania State University, in State College, PA. She received her Master's of Education from Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Barbara lived in Wyomissing for most of her life and was very active in the community. Barbara spent her career teaching, beginning at Shaler High School in the Pittsburgh area, and both Wilson and Wyomissing High Schools in the Reading area. She was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity. She participated in various civic organizations including being a member of the Junior League of Reading and a long-time volunteer at the Women's Exchange in West Reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Church of Sinking Spring, PA.

Barbara truly loved spending time with her grandchildren in Colorado, and traveling around the world with her husband, family, and sorority sisters. She created lifetime memories that she cherished, in places like Ireland, Africa, China, New Zealand, and Russia, as well as a Disney cruise with her grandchildren. For fun, she sought out opportunities to go dancing with her husband, attend theater in Reading and New York, and go to local concerts at the Rajah Theater.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Larry E. Logero and two children, daughter Adrienne, wife of Rip Wilson of Littleton, CO and son Brent of Denver, CO and two grandchildren, Zachary and Claudia of Littleton, CO. Also surviving are her siblings: Patricia A. Snyder of Wyomissing, C. Malcolm Smith, III of Wyomissing and Michele S. Bigos of West Lawn.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Friends may call between 4 and 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola in Sinking Spring, on Monday, January 22, at 11am. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Mausoleum. Edward J.
