Barbara E. Krug

Barbara E. Krug, 67, Muhlenberg Twp., died August 20 at 2:45 p.m. in the Reading Hospital, where she had been since August 14.

Her husband Thomas J. Krug died June 8, 1988.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Ava M. (Anderson) Eyrich.

Barbara was an elementary school teacher in the Reading School District for 32 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School and earned her B.S. in education from Kutztown University in 1961.

Barbara is survived by a sister, Patricia E. (Eyrich) Goldstein, Bernville.

She is also survived by one niece, Amy (LaRue) Ciervo, Greenfields and one nephew Trey LaRue, Spring Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
