Barbara E. Flemming

Barbara E. (Schwanzer) Flemming, 77, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Reading, PA and New Canaan, CT, passed away September 18, 2015 at Wilmington Hospital, DE surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Gregory F. Flemming. They had recently celebrated 56 years of beautiful marriage.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Max and Hilda (Wolf) Schwanzer.

She was a 1955 graduate of Wilson High School.

Barbara worked as a secretary for the president of the Wyomissing Federal Savings and Loan from 1955 to 1963.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kelly E., wife of Kevin Lane, Andover, MA and Michelle A. Flemming, wife of John Doumani, Sydney, Australia and four grandchildren, Caroline Lane, Alex Lane, Gregory Doumani and Trieste Doumani.

Barbara was predeceased by her grandson, Liam Doumani.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
