Audrey Kay Hess

Audrey K. Hess, 65, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. Weidman, Sr. and Virginia (James) Weidman. Audrey was the devoted wife of Carl Hess, with whom she shared many loving years until his passing in 2023.

Audrey dedicated 25 years of service as a nurse's aide at the Hamburg Center. Following her retirement, she embraced her creative passions as a watercolor artist and quilting instructor at the Wooden Bridge in Kutztown, sharing her talents and love of art with many students and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Sheryl Yoder of Garner, NC; her nephews, Jeffrey M. Weidman and his partner, Kyra Sidwell, and Joseph J. Weidman and his wife, Bethany, all of Pottstown; and her beloved great-nephew, Everett, and great-niece, Melia.

In addition to her husband and parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her twin brother, Walter H. Weidman, Jr.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Gernant's Cemetery, Gernant's Church Road, Leesport, PA.
