Audrey D. Palm

Audrey Doris Palm, 77, of Hyde Park, Muhlenberg Township, died April 30, 2009 at 11:30 p.m. in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the ladyfriend of Russell R. Wayne, of 49 years, with whom she resided.

Born, November 16, 1931 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late David, Jr. and Martha A. (Bortz) Batdorf.

Audrey was employed as a supervisor for the former Talbott Knitting Mills, Reading for 27 years, retiring in 1993.

She enjoyed camping and playing bingo.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tia Weidenhammer of Hyde Park, John D. Berkheimer, Ben Berkheimer and Nicky Berkheimer, all of Hazelton; two great grandchildren and a sister, Susan D. (Batdorf) Schadler of Mt. Penn.

Audrey was predeceased by a son, Rocklyn D. Berkheimer and a brother, David O. Batdorf.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
