Arvid E. Halla

Arvid E. Halla, 83, died January 12, 2015, in his Spring Township residence.

Born in Clintonville, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Clarence and Catherine (Ahles) Halla.

He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Arvid worked as the National Sales Manager for General Battery. He later was the owner/operator of two Mail Room Stores.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Known to many as "Pa.", he adored his grandchildren and loved playing with his great-grandson. He looked forward to attending Sunday Mass where he ushered and visited with friends.

Arvid is survived by two daughters, Barbara, wife of John Trost, IV., Grosse Point, MI and Nancy Halla Keith, West Lawn; six grandchildren, John, Karl, Alison, Charles, Ashley and Dylan and one great-grandson, Casey.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen S. Halla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, 2810 Saint Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church. Contributions may be made to St. Ignatius R.C. Church at the above address. Edward J.
