Arthur R. Smith

Arthur Roy "Slim" Smith, 74, of 4114 Sixth Avenue, Temple, Pa 19560, died February 24th at 7:44 pm in St. Joseph Hospital where he had been since February 21st.

He was the husband of Ruth E. (Peterson) Smith.

Born in Summit Hill, Carbon County he was a son of the late James and Dorothy E. (Driesbach) Smith.

He worked as a car repairman for 43 years for Reading Railroad until his retirement in 1990.

Smith is also survived by a step-son, Steven R. Kalbach of Frankford, Germany.

Other survivors include four step grandchildren and one great grandson.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Smith and two sister, Marian (Smith) Hoy and Mildred Smith.

Services will be Tuesday at 11am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Kenneth A. Gould officiating. Viewing Tuesday 10am until time of service. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
