Arthur H. Hess

Arthur H. Hess, 67, formerly of Hamburg died in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township on September 29th, 2014. He was born in Perry Township and was the son of the late Earl J. and Pearl E. (Hoffman) Hess. Arthur worked for Prospectus Berco, Reading for many years as a packer. In 1984 he was named employee of the year. Arthur enjoyed bowling, Disneyland and trips to the New Jersey Shore. He was a member of the Hamburg Bible church. Three brothers survive him, John M. of Windsor Township, Earl G. husband of Doris Hess, Fleetwood, Ray L. husband of Dolores Hess, Downingtown. Three sisters also survive Arthur, Grace E. wife of Charles Wuester, Lancaster, Ella K. and Pauline J. Hess, both of Windsor Township. Three nieces, two-step nieces, 0ne nephew and one step-nephew also survive him. Memorial contributions may be made to Child's Evangelism Fellowship of Berks County, 1307 Good Street, Reading, PA. 19602. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg, PA.
