Arthur B. Budinger, 88, formerly of Ingomar, Pa, died July 17th at 10:50 pm in the Skilled Nursing Unit in The Highlands at Wyomissing, (Berks County, PA) where he had been since February 1st.
He was predeceased by his first wife Emily (Pickett) Budinger, who died January 3, 1969 and by his second wife, Eleanor C. (Chapin) Budinger, who died March 16, 1999.
Born in Snow Shoe, Centre County, Pa., he was a son of the late Arthur B. and May (Croyle) Budinger.
He was a Army Veteran of World War II where he served in New Guinea, the Philippines and Okinawa.
Mr. Budinger was a member of Ingomar Community United Methodist Church, Ingomar, Pa.
He was transferred to the Pittsburgh area by a New Jersey manufacturing company on a temporary basis as their regional branch manager. His working career culminated 25 years later as a sales representative for the Cassady-Pierce Company, Pittsburgh, retiring in 1977.
Mr. Budinger is survived by four sons, A. Bowman of Westford, MA., David P. of Washington, PA., Mark L. of Hopatcong, NJ., and Christopher F. of Yardley, PA.
He is also survived by a step-son, Thomas E. Roberts of Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include two sisters, Cristy (Budinger) Soule of Lancaster and Katherine (Budinger) Parker of Huntsville, Alabama.
There are nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday at 3:00 pm in the Auditorium at The Highlands at Wyomissing. Burial will be in Ingomar Community United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Highlands Endowment Fund, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, Pa 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
