Arthur Bowen

Arthur Bowen, 87, of Franklin Street, Shillington, died Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where he had resided since Oct. 19.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Arthur and Annie (Erb) Bowen.

Bowen was employed as a machinist by Orr & Sembower Inc., Reading, retiring in 1978.

Surviving are a sister, Evelyn (Bowen) Gechter, Shillington, and two brothers, Robert, Reading, and Walter, Wernersville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
