Arthur M. Boudreau, 88, of Hamburg, PA, formerly of Easton, PA and Sterling, VA, died on December 29, 2014 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born in O'ahu, Hawaiian Islands, on May 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Moise and Lillian (Blum) Boudreau. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph, and a sister, Frances. Arthur was a decorated combat infantry veteran of World War II, including the Bronze Star. He was a member of Co. B, 379th Platoon, 95th Infantry Division, the famed "Iron Men of Metz." He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the Ruhr Campaign 1944-45. He worked at a variety of jobs after the war, in New York City and Long Island, including Sunshine Biscuit, Schlitz Brewing, Kohlsman Instrument, and Fairchild, Graphics Division. His big break came in 1968 through his dear friend, the late Garson Wolitsky. He was hired as technical training manager for the former American Newspapers Publishers Association (ANPA), working first in Easton, PA, then in Reston, VA. ANPA conducted seminars for newspaper publishers and executives, He retired in 1990, after 22 years, and was among the lucky few who loved his job. Arthur was a long-time SCCA corner safety worker, with over 25 years of service. He worked numerous amateur and professional events, including Can-Am and Trans-Am races, along with the former U.S. Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. Following retirement, he moved to Hamburg, PA, where he resided since 1991. He enjoyed playing golf at Perry Golf Course with the local old-timers, until declining health ended this activity. He also relished the 95th Division annual reunions, until recently. Arthur was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg, PA. Arthur is survived by his wife, Annamae E. (Sacco) Boudreau. They celebrated 67 years of marriage on August 30, 2014. He is also survived by a son, Stephen J. Boudreau. Arthur will be greatly missed by his family members. He was close to his niece, Barbara Vasich and her husbnad, Bob; niece Rita Ingberman; niece Marion Craig; and nephew, Paul Boudreau and his wife, Barbara. He was especially fond of his great-nephews, Bryan and Daniel Diegnan A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526 and again Monday morning, January 5th from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church.
