Arline M. Berkenstock

Arline Marion (Levan) Berkenstock, 87, of Country Meadows, Wyomissing and formerly of West Reading, died March 10, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was married March 1, 1940 to Albert Howard Berkenstock, who died February 4, 2004.

Born in Angelica, PA, she was a daughter of the late J. Stewart Levan Sr. and Augusta (Guinther) Levan.

Arline was a braider for over 15 years at Narrow Fabric, West Reading, until her retirement in 1965.

She is survived by a son, Barry B., husband of Kathleen M. (Vogel)Berkenstock of Schuylkill Haven and a daughter, Marie E., wife of Joel H. Behney of Robesonia.

Other survivors include a brother, Joseph S. Jr., husband of Edna Levan of West Lawn and a sister, Mary, widow of Paul Young of West Reading.

There are five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great great grandchildren surviving.

She was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Levan.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 am in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
