Arlene May (Masciotti) Vespico, 68, of 6750 Chestnut Oak Lane, Warrenton, Virginia 20187 and formerly of State Street, Shillington, was pronounced dead September 8th at 12:45am in the Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, Virginia, where she had been since September 2nd.
She was married April 26, 1958 in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading to Robert D. Vespico, of Warrenton.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Jeannette (Tablone) Masciotti.
She was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School and a 1956 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse.
Vespico worked for 2 years after graduation for the Reading Hospital. She later worked for 2 years at Rome Hospital, Rome, New York and later four years at Greater Southeast Hospital, Washington, D.C.
She last worked for 20 years at Fauquier Hospital as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1999.
On top of being an avid reader, Vespico enjoyed Brass Rubbings, Travel, Family Get-Togethers and Health Education.
She is also survived by a daughter, Amy (Vespico) Buckley of Manassas, Virginia, and three sons, Robert D. Jr., of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lee A. of Santee, California and Anthony of Amissville, Virginia.
Other survivors include a sister, Dolores (Masciotti) Stichter of Middletown, Pennsylvania and a half-sister, Anna Jane (Masciotti) Gill of Selingsgrove, Pennsylvania.
There are also three grandchildren, G. Michael Harms, of Manassas, Virginia, Krystal Harms of Manassas, Virginia and Tawni Lee Vespico of Santee, California.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Viewing Friday 8:30 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2045 West Gate Drive, Suite 302 Bethlehem, Pa 18017.
