Arlene A. Schutter

Arlene A. Schutter, 89 died October 10, 2012, in Arden Courts Assisted Living, Allentown. She was predeceased by 2 husbands, Kenneth R. Weitzel in 1965 and Robert W. Schutter on June 23, 2003. Arlene was born in Bowmansville and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Lillie (Lorah) Kramer. Arlene worked as a self employed beautician for many years in Mohnton and then worked for the former Robert P. Miller Underwear Mill in Shoemakersville as a machine operator for 20 years. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Arlene is survived by 1 daughter, Jean A. (Weitzel) wife of Richard Boyd, Hamburg and 1 son, James E. Weitzel of Reading, 3 grandchildren; Bret Boyd, Scot Boyd, and Katy (Boyd) Rhoads, 5 great grandchildren, Mikael, Aiden and Gabriel Rhoads, and Veronica and Natalie Boyd. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Dorothy Kramer, Katherine Kessler, Miriam Heil and Anna Fake and 2 brothers, Carl and Robert Kramer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
