Arlene Mae Miller, 76, of Laureldale, died May 12, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the widow of George Donald "Boots" Miller, who died November 7, 1987.
Born March 1, 1933 in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Genevieve Smith.
Arlene was a graduate of South East High School in Washington, D.C.
She was employed in the mailroom of the White House during the JFK Administration.
Other employment included, Camp Hosiery, where she was a clerk in the production office; Kaman Bearings, where she was an secretary; and by Core States Bank.
Arlene was a past member of the Sweet Adelines, Reading.
She cherished the friendships of her neighbors and friends, and had fond memories of her days in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. areas.
Surviving are three children: Christopher A. Osti of Reno, NV; Charles V. Osti of Reading and Deborah A. (Miller) Flickinger of Reading.
There are also four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter surviving.
Graveside services will be private in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
