Arlene R. Lentz

Arlene R. Lentz, 99, of Wyomissing, passed away on July 18, 2023, at The Highlands of Wyomissing.

Born in Lebanon, PA., one of five children, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ida Lentz. Arlene was a graduate of Lebanon High School, West Chester University and received her Masters in Education from Penn State. She began her career in education in the Reading School District as an elementary teacher and was later a principal at several elementary schools. Upon her retirement she obtained her real estate license and was a real estate broker for several years.

Arlene lived a long and active life. She loved spending her summers at her childhood family cottage in Mt. Gretna, while there she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed participating in the Mt. Gretna community activities, playing bridge and golf at the Lebanon Country Club. She was very proud of her hole in one. She enjoyed travelling and spending some winter time in Florida. Arlene was a member of the Lincoln Park Methodist Church.

She was survived by seven nieces and nephews: James H. Lentz of Naples, FL, Edward A. Lentz of Wyomissing, PA, Barbara A. Vastine of Fort Collins, CO, Jacqueline L. Farrer of Millsboro, DE, Patricia F. Kennedy of New Providence, NJ, Sandra F. Tomlinson of Gainsville, VA, and Karl K. Klett, Jr. of Silver Spring, MD.
