Arlene D. Twardowski

Arlene D. Twardowski, 82, of North Ninth Street, Berkshire Heights, died Feb. 20 at 4:05 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where she had resided one week.

She was the wife of Walter M. Twardowski.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Steffy) Whitmoyer.

Twardowski was employed for 15 years by Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, and was last employed for 10 years by R.M. Palmer Co., West Reading.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Twardowski was a 1938 graduate of Wilson High School.

She is also survived by a daughter, Sylvia L. (Twardowski) Thomas, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Beatrice (Whitmoyer) Imes, Littleton, Colo.; and two granddaughters.

She was predeceased by a son, Sidney Twardowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
