Arland Mcmullen

Arland McMullen, 78, formerly of 300 Lackawanna Street, Reading died September 27th at 2:00pm in the residence of his daughter-in-law, Sandy L. (Sittaro) McMullen, with whom he resided at 425 Grove Avenue, Mohnton.

He was the widow of Betty Grace (Blankenbiller) McMullen.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Grandville and Emma (Miller) McMullen.

He worked for 20 years as a crane operator at Pear & Company, Reading.

McMullen last worked as a maintenance man for 15 years at the Jamestown Village Apartments, Reading until his retirement in 1987.

He is also survived by a brother, Claude McMullen of Morton, Montgomery County.

Other survivors include three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

McMullen was predeceased by a son, Barry L. McMullen, who died September 23, 2001.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Alleghany Cemetery, Breaknock Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 301 One Norwegian Plaza, Pottsville, Pa 17901. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
