Ardene M. Gilbert

Ardene M. Gilbert, 87 of Shoemakersville died Friday evening, April 10, 2015 in Hearthstone at Maidencreek. She was the widow of Earl F. Gilbert who died April 5, 2010. Ardene was born in Bremen, Kansas on August 26, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Marie A. (Rengstorf) True. She was employed at Globe Underwear, Shoemakersville as a machine operator retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. One daughter, Gayle wife of James Hepner, Shoemakersville, two granddaughters, Jennifer Hepner, Wyomissing and Kristy wife of Christopher Mitchell, Royersford, survive Ardene. A brother, Harold H. True, predeceased her. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Church, 5th & Franklin Streets, Shoemakersville, PA. Graveside services will follow immediately at St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
