Archie J. Strauser

Archie J. Strauser, 87, of Allentown, passed away May 7, 2008 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.

His wife, Jeannette A. Strauser, died June 14, 1996.

Born in Exeter Township, he was a son of the late Archie J. and Anna E. (Simon) Strauser.

He was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1938 and the McCann Business School in 1952.

Archie was employed by F. M. Brown's Feed for 25 years as a dispatcher, retiring in 1982.

He served in the U. S. Army Infantry, Company 317, during WW II.

Survivors include his daughter, Anna F., wife of Michael Kripas, Leesport; two step-daughters, Judith A. Hall, Lancaster and Carol L. Hauck, Reading; two grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
