Antonio G. Torchia, 84, Reading, died Jan. 1 in the emergency room of Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Adriana C. (Catani) Torchia.
Born in Sersale, Italy, he was a son of the late Francesco and Lucia (Scarpino) Torchia.
Torchia had been employed for 22 years as a machinist by Birdsboro Steel Corp., retiring in 1978.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Torchia is also survived by two daughters, Lucia T. (Torchia) Thompson, Shillington, and Raffaella A. Torchia, Natick, Mass.
Other survivors include a brother, Salvatore, Shillington, and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
