Antonio Carlos Ortega, Jr.

Antonio "Lil Guy" Carlos Ortega, Jr., 16, of Reading, passed away October 17, 2017, in Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Born in Reading, he was a son of Antonio Carlos Ortega, Sr. and Hilary Doan, Reading.

He was a Sophomore at the Reading High School where he was a student at RKAA- Reading Knight Accelerated Academy.

Antonio was a beautiful, shy young man with a radiant smile who was looking forward to graduation. He was a fighter-fighting through many of his health issues. He loved sports especially basketball and music.

He was a wonderful, loyal friend to everyone.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by seven sisters: Xyanjaleese Ehrgood, Shydalae Ehrgood, Jaedalyn Ortega, Shendeleana Ortega, Shirenahlyse Ortega, Emalyse Ortega, Damani Ortiz and six brothers: Samuel Ehrgood, Nathaniel Ortega, Joelijah Ortega, Juvion Ortega, Jasiah Ortega and A'Jayone. He is also survived by his grandmother, Michele Ehrgood; his aunt, Margarita Ehrgood; his uncle Christopher Hoang, with whom he resided; his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandfather; and many other aunts and uncles.

Services will be Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 4 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Friends may call Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
