Antonio Guatieri

Antonio "Toto" Guatieri, 61, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, in the care of Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Maria (Logozzo) Guatieri. On December 27, they would have celebrated their 34th anniversary.

He was born in Andali, Italy, to the late Vincenzo Guatieri and Elena (Grande). Antonio was the owner of Paparone's Pizza on Penn Avenue in Sinking Spring for the last 31 years. Antonio loved Sinking Spring and the township loved him back.

Antonio had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to his friends; he was always the true meaning of, "one call away." He had many friends all over the states and in Italy. He enjoyed playing cards with the guys. Family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren– they were his pride and joy. Affectionately known as "Zio di America," "Un grande amico," and the best of all, "L''Amico degli amici." He kept close relationships with his family and friends in Italy.

His memory will be forever treasured by his wife, Maria; their children, Elena Guatieri and Vincenzo Guatieri, husband of Stefany; and grandchildren, Antonio and Alyssia Guatieri. He is also survived by his siblings, Giuseppe Guatieri (Rosa), Teresa Guatieri (Santino), and Francesco Guatieri. He also loved his dog, Frankie.

Antonio's last wishes were to be buried in Andali, Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609. Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 10, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again Monday, December 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
